The Transitus is a commemoration of the Passing from this life into Eternal Life of St. Francis of Assisi. It takes place as an evening vigil where we reflect on the life and example of Our Founder and seek to prepare ourselves for His Feast Day. All are invited to attend with the Franciscans from around the DMV area!

  • The Celebration of the Passing of St. Francis into the Heavenly Homeland will be hosted at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land on October 3rd, 2025 @7pm

  • Holy Mass on the Feast of Our Holy Father St. Francis of Assisi.

    - October 4th, @8:45am at Capuchin College (this Saturday only)

    • Pastries and Coffee to follow!

  • Every Saturday morning (8:30am) during the CUA Semester, join us to celebrate the Sacred Liturgy and enjoy specialty coffee and fresh pastries, all made by the friars here!
