Br. Keon Tu, OFM Cap.
Home Country: China
Age: 43
Before Becoming a Friar: "I was a Protestant pastor in a Chinese church in University City, Philadelphia. I led Bible studies for the Chinese students and their families, as well as picking them up from the airport, cooking and feeding them, baby sitting their children, visiting their families, offering marriage counseling and baptizing them into the church just like a parish priest."
Why I'm a Capuchin: "I had two years of experience as a lay missionary in Papua New Guinea. I was inspired to be a Capuchin priest and missionary because I witnessed how the American Capuchins gave their life to the poorest of the poor in order to preach the Gospel just as Jesus Christ Himself incarnated, lived and sacrificed His life for the world."
